Focaccia Bread Recipe with Grapes and Rosemary
Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 25 minutes
1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
1 batch store-bought pizza dough (whole wheat preferred)
2 pounds white or red grapes
1/2 cup light brown sugar
Leaves from 1 sprig rosemary
Freshly ground black pepper
- Preheat the oven to 450°F. Lightly oil a 10 by 15-inch baking sheet, then use your hands to stretch out the pizza dough on the prepared baking sheet.
- Gently crush the grapes in a bowl and mix them with half of the brown sugar. Spread them over the dough, pressing down slightly. Cover the sheet with a cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes to allow the dough to rise again.
- Sprinkle the focaccia with the remaining brown sugar, garnish with rosemary leaves, and top with ground black pepper. Bake until golden brown, approximately 25 minutes. Drizzle with olive oil before serving.
