Morning Yoga For Back Pain

If you’re interested in learning how to use yoga to get rid of back pain, then you’ll want to read this quick article.

There are 13 specific “go-to” poses that I use for back pain.

I have had back pain for many years now, and it flat out sucks.

After hearing about the numerous benefits of yoga for a long time, I decided to start practicing yoga every other day.

It’s been 5 months since I’ve started, at the time of this writing, and I can say without a doubt that deciding to start yoga was one of the best things I’ve ever done.

I’m certainly a lot more flexible now than I ever was and I recover fast from my lifting workouts.

In fact, I’ve begun implementing yoga into my strength training routine recently and I don’t get any aches and pains that often anymore.

Now and then, I’ll start to feel a lot of discomfort in my back.

I created the following routine to combat this discomfort.

Here’s a video showing off my entire yoga sequence:

The 13 poses that are mentioned in the video above are:

  1. Back bend
  2. Side Bend (Both Sides)
  3. Forward Fold
  4. Cow Pose
  5. Cat Pose
  6. Downward Facing Dog
  7. Upward Facing Dog
  8. Superman
  9. Bow or Camel Pose (Choose the Bow pose if you have severe lower back issues)
  10. Bridge
  11. Spinal Twist (Both Sides)
  12. Child’s Pose
  13. Child’s Pose Twist (Both Sides)

Do you have any specific poses that you go to for back pain?

If so, leave a comment below and let me know!

I’ll update this if I find more poses!
